The Golden Gate Garrison is proud to release a special memorial coin in remembrance of our friend and fellow trooper, Vincent Vigil.
Vince was more than a member of our community. He was a leader, a mentor, and a driving force behind countless charitable efforts. His passion for helping others was evident in everything he did, and nowhere was that more apparent than in his dedication to Relay for Life and the fight against cancer. Supporting this cause remained close to Vince's heart and to his family for many years. He believed that every effort, no matter how small, could make a difference in the lives of those facing cancer.
The NBS CARES Team, originally founded by Vince, was built on that belief. Through service, outreach, and charity, he inspired others to give back and make their communities better. We remain committed to continuing that mission and will proudly troop Relay for Life events each year in his memory.
This memorial coin was created as a tribute to Vince's legacy and the impact he had on so many lives. Proceeds for this run will help the NBS Cares team raise funds that will benefit Relay for Life (Marin County) and the American Cancer Society, helping to continue the fight against cancer while honoring how Vince never stopped fighting for others.
If you feel so compelled and are able to support this cause, you are helping keep Vince's mission alive. He was a selfless friend who gave so much of himself to others, an unstoppable force for charity, and a shining example of what it means to serve. Through his portrayal of the Bounty Hunter Zuckuss, he embodied the spirit of "Bad Guys Doing Good," (along with his many other costumes and his love of Star Wars) to bring hope, support to worthy causes, and make a positive difference in the lives of others.
His legacy lives on through every life he touched, every act of kindness he inspired, and every cause he championed.
